About Nina Shaw
Welcome to my profile. As the founder of Good Karma Assistance Dogs CIC, my mission is to champion ethical, accessible assistance dog training and empower individuals across the UK.

Founding Good Karma Assistance Dogs
I founded Good Karma Assistance Dogs after realising there was no dedicated local organisation serving the Staffordshire community. Seeing that vital gap motivated me to step up and build an inclusive, supportive network. In just over two years, we have expanded our reach from local communities in Staffordshire to supporting handlers nationwide across the UK.

A passion for mental health and advocacy
Mental health is deeply important to me and something I hold very close to my heart. Looking to the future, my goal is to work within the NHS Mental Health Services. My ideal position is to serve as a Healthcare Social Worker or an Independent Mental Health Advocate—because nothing says giving back to the community like helping people in crisis situations find their voice again through professional, compassionate listening.

Life beyond Good Karma
When I am not dedicating time to supporting our assistance dog partnerships and steering Good Karma, you will usually find me immersed in a good book, discovering new music, or socialising and laughing with friends. Having balanced time to recharge helps me bring energy, warmth, and full dedication to our community every single day.
