Meet Ruby Facer: Our dedicated trainer
Discover Ruby's passion for assistance dogs and her invaluable contributions to Good Karma Assistance Dogs CIC.
About Ruby and her journey
Ruby is our dedicated assistance dog trainer and behaviourist for the Northamptonshire and London areas. She is also a qualified veterinary expert. Ruby is passionate about her work and has her own assistance dog in training, Juno, who accompanies her. Beyond training, she actively assists with fundraising and attends awards shows, such as the Blue Badge Access Awards ceremony this year alongside Nico and his assistance dog. In her free time, Ruby enjoys larping.
Ruby's unique approach to training
Ruby's training in veterinary care offers our members a valuable resource. She can provide guidance on whether a problem warrants a visit to the vet, though she will always recommend consulting your actual veterinary surgeon. Her expertise helps members understand the urgency of a situation. This knowledge also profoundly influences her dog training, as she can distinguish between normal behaviour and potential signs of illness, ensuring a holistic approach to assistance dog development.
Juno: Ruby's partner in training
Juno, Ruby's own assistance dog in training, is a testament to Ruby's dedication and expertise. Juno accompanies Ruby, providing a real-world example of the training methods and philosophies employed by Good Karma Assistance Dogs CIC. Their journey together is an inspiration to our members and a practical demonstration of what our assistance dogs can achieve.
